Local Junction is a platform that lets residents and travellers post and browse community listings across Uttarakhand. We are an intermediary: we host listings and help people connect, but we are not a party to transactions between users.
1. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, current information in any listing you post.
- Only post content you have the right to share and that is lawful.
- Keep your account details and contact number up to date.
- Behave honestly with other users, in person and in messages.
2. Prohibited listings
We remove, and may refuse to publish, listings that are fake, misleading, duplicate, expired without renewal, discriminatory, or that promote illegal goods or services, unauthorised accommodation, or unsafe travel. Posting under a false identity or for someone without their consent is prohibited.
3. Verification & no guarantee
Local Junction does not independently inspect, verify or guarantee every listing, price, fare or availability. You must verify details directly with the listing owner before travelling or paying. Meet in safe places, confirm fares in advance and use your own judgement.
4. Bookings, payments and promotions
Most deals happen directly between users — Local Junction takes no commission on rides or stays. Where you buy a paid promotion, the promotion is a placement of your listing only; it does not transfer ownership of enquiries and is subject to the pricing and duration shown at checkout or on our Promotion Plans page. Paid placements are labelled where relevant.
5. Content removal & moderation
We may edit, unpublish or remove listings and suspend accounts that breach these terms, receive credible reports, or pose a safety or legal risk. You can appeal through the Contact form.
6. Limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Junction is not liable for losses arising from your use of the platform, your reliance on any listing, or dealings between users.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uttarakhand / Delhi NCR as applicable.
